Highlights for Events at the Farm for the Remainder of 2016

BooAtTheFarmLiving History Day – Aug. 14th, 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
We have SO MUCH happening, we’ve extended our hours! Join us for a BBQ pork lunch, free will donation! We’ll have several demonstrators and hands-on opportunities for all ages! Members of the Prairie Fibers Weavers and Spinners Guild of Nebraska will be demonstrating in the lower level of the church!

Tractor, Engine & Auto Show – Sept. 17-18, 9:30am – 4:30pm
See demonstrations of working pieces of equipment and a tractor parade! Exhibitors participate in tractor games, and women enter the skillet throwing competition! We welcome exhibitors of all ages, exhibits of all varieties! Bring the kids for the pedal pull at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, provided by Ken Vincik. And on Sunday join us for the Lincoln Ukulele Group, performing in the church at 10:00 a.m. and again under the tent after lunch! Troup 173 is providing lunch both days and breakfast on Sunday! (No barn dance this year!!!)

Boo on the Farm – Oct. 23rd, 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Preschool children through 5th graders, visit the farm for Halloween games, wagon rides, storytelling and more! It’s a lot more fun with a little less scary!

Christmas on the Farm – Dec. 3rd – 23rd plus 26th & 27th, 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. daily
The house, church and schoolhouse are all decorated for the season! Special entertainment will be in the church several days out of the month, as well as Christmas goodies and refreshments. Check back for additions to the schedule for this popular time on the farm!

The Wessels Farm regular hours are Mondays-Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. & Sundays, 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.

The admission price for visiting the farm and special events is $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for senior citizens and $2.00 for children. The farm can be rented for parties, reunions, weddings and other special events. The Farm is located one mile south of I-80 on Highway 81 at York. Call Dale Clark for details at 402-710-0682.
