Question: "How important is irrigation to this community?"
Kelly: "Oh, it's just vital. It's – the major thing right now is irrigation."
Question: "Why?"
Kelly: "Well, without irrigation, our production is down. The community would have a lot less people. People would not be able to earn their living here. It would just be devastating for this community not to have irrigation."

Kelly Holthus grew up on a farm outside Loomis, Nebraska, and was a young boy during the war. Yet, he was big enough to be put on a tractor. Later, he went to work in rural banks and is now President of the Cornerstone Bank in York. He's been active in both the statewide and national banking associations.
