"Some people may not realize how bad it was. Between the tumbleweeds and the dust it piled up along fencerows. Fencerows, it would just actually pile up!
     "Of course, when the crops didn't grow, there were many tumbleweeds around. And, of course, when the winds came along, they blew the tumbleweeds somewhere. And the fencerow would be the place it would stop. Well now, it was also blowing dust. And the dust would commingle with the tumbleweeds. It wasn't a pleasant sight."
