"Well, maybe I guess, just because our family was. Our dad's were."
Question: "Was that unusual around your community?"
"To be like your folks?"
Question: "Well, no, to be a Democrat?"
"Well, around here, it is. [It's] very unusual in York. I remember when we moved to Benedict, some guy told my dad, he said, 'If you want to meet a Democrat, you'll have to go down into an alley and shake hands with yourself.' [Laughs] So, it's very rare around here. It's very rare."
