"Oh.. ice cream, homemade ice cream! My mom would get it all prepared and then we'd have a wooden bucket that had this container in the middle of it, that had a dash, they called it a dash. It was actually there were gears up here and as you turned the handle, that caused this inside dash to move around and stirred up the ice cream all the while it was freezing. So you'd have ice packed around this metal container and put salt in it because that makes the ice colder and that way it would freeze faster. And so then we would turn and turn and turn. So that, in turn, turned this little thing down in here and made our ice cream. But we used a lot of ice that way! Making a good dessert. And oh, tastes wonderful!"
