Hollis Miller was born on his family's farm in Benedict Nebraska on March 14, 1921. He graduated from Benedict High School and attended the University of Nebraska. In 1942, Holly joined the U.S. Army Signal Corps and served for four years. He returned to York County and started Miller Seed and Supply in 1949. Three years later, he started York Fertilizer, the first company in the region to introduce anhydrous ammonia. Through the years, Holly worked with David Wessels on several crop studies. Holly is now retired but is still active in York County, Nebraska. |
